Description
The Oil of Balsam of Tolu to treat such common ailments as external wounds, asthma, colds, flu, and arthritis. Generally its topical use is recommended for skin rashes, eczema, and skin parasites such as scabies, ringworm, and head lice. Balsam of Tolu worked very well for antibacterial, antifungal, and antiparasitic purposes.
Balsam of Tolu is used extensively in topical preparations for the treatment of wounds, skin graft healing, indolent ulcers, scabies, diaper rash, hemorrhoids, anal pruritus, bedsores, intertrigo, eczema, and others, in hair tonic and antidandruff preparations, feminine hygiene sprays, and as a fixative or fragrance ingredient in soaps, detergents, creams, lotions, and perfumes. Topically, Balsam of Tolu has been used over the years to help remedy a number of skin issues including dry skin, and minor cuts and wounds.
