Create a tiny dough ball, flatten it using your palm and fingers, then gently pat it to create a circular form. If necessary, dust with jowar flour and pat out as thinly as you can. Place the roti on a heated tawa with the flour side facing you after carefully lifting it with a spatula. When the base of the jowar roti has cooked for a few minutes, turn it over and let the side that has been watered cook thoroughly until brown spots start to emerge. Press the roti gently and cook it on all sides well. Enjoy the roti with the garlic and onion chutney after adding a drop of ghee to the serving dish. Jowar Halwa Ingredients ½ cup Jowar flour 2 tbsp ghee 6-8 cashew nuts 5 raisins 150 ml of milk ½ cup jaggery 2 tbs sugar ½ tsp Cardamom For Garnishing 2 tsp finely chopped almonds Method Cashews and raisins are fried in ghee in a skillet and then set aside. Add jowar flour to the same pan and stir well till the ghee is completely absorbed by the flour and a pleasant aroma is released. On a very slow burner, cook the flour for around 5 to 6 minutes before turning off the heat. As you gradually add milk, stir continuously to create a lump-free, smooth paste with the cooked flour. Put the pan on the burner, add the sugar and jaggery that has been grated, and stir constantly until the jaggery melts. Cook the mixture, add more ghee if necessary, and stir constantly until it thickens and the ghee begins to ooze out of the sides. After thoroughly combining the cardamom powder, turn off the stove. Garnishserve the halwa garnished with fried nuts and chopped almonds.
