GSK Polyfax Skin Ointment, 20g

Polyfax Skin Ointment is a skin ointment, which contains the active ingredients polymyxin B sulphate and bacitracin zinc. Polymyxin B sulphate and bacitracin zinc are antibacterials.

Polyfax Ointment is used to help prevent infection of the skin including:

Minor burns
A skin graft being taken
Surgery
Accidental cuts, scratches or scrapes.
Polyfax Ointment is used for the treatment of:

Infected accidental wounds
Infected burns
Infected skin grafts
Infected ulcers (on the skin)
Infected surgical cut.
Composition
Each gram contains:

Polymyxin B Sulfate: 10,000 Units
Bacitracin Zinc: 500 Units
Petrolatum Base to: 1.0 g
Directions for Use

It is for topical skin administration only.
Adults: a thin layer of the ointment should be applied one or more times a day, as necessary.
